Education - Braeside Rules

Whenever pupils/students visit Braeside they are expected to observe the following rules.  It is advised that you discuss the rules with your group prior to their visit to ensure that they are familiar with them:

  1. No one must leave the Braeside site without permission from the leader of your group.
  2. Look after Braeside, we have lots of visiting groups, so if you see something broken or damaged please tell a member of staff as soon as you can, so that it can be mended.
  3. If the fire alarm sounds you must walk quietly and sensibly to the car park at the front of the house and wait there to be counted and registered.
  4. The equipment in the Braeside grounds is out of bounds unless you are accompanied by an instructor, so during free time you will not be allowed to use them. This includes the ropes courses and wobbly platform which has the “Danger Keep Off” sign on it.
  5. Overnight – It is expected that young people will be in bed by 11.00pm and not get up until told to do so by their teachers.  Adults are free to set their own rules but must ensure that they do not disturb those who are sleeping.
  6. Beds must be stripped before breakfast on the last morning. The sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase must be taken off the bed, folded neatly and pile outside the door in the corridor. Only strip the bed you have slept in.
